We think:

Recommended for use with a cleaning cloth. Simply push a corner of a cloth through the slit in the top of the synthetic rod and wrap the cloth over the tip and around the rod tip. Now push the rod through the instrument and rotate until all moisture has been absorbed. Synthetic flute cleaning rods are a very popular choice as they are less likely to scratch your flute, providing careful & effective internal cleaning of your instrument.
