The Bach Artisan Eb/D is a Professional Specification instrument, featuring two interchangeable tuneable “long” bells and two sets of slides.
For a number of years Vincent Bach, despite producing the Bb trumpet of choice for professionals the world over, has struggled to produce a quality high trumpet to rival models from the likes of Schilke, Stomvi and Yamaha.
With the Introduction of the Artisan Eb/D, all this has changed. Bach have adopted a dual interchangeable bell configuration – like the schilke and incorporated this model within their new Artisan range which has been receiving rave reviews from professional players.

Vintage Look – New Technology
The Artisan range is an entirely new “custom shop” range of trumpets offered by Vincent Bach. Harking back aesthetically to the great “Mount Vernon” instruments of old, they feature various up-graded features such as additional engraving and deluxe case. Importantly however, there are also real new innovations that enhance the playing characteristics. 
Artisan trumpets are supplied with two sets of valve guides, (metal and plastic), allowing the musician to choose between the pronounced different acoustic characteristics of the contrasting materials. 
The bells are acoustically treated with a freezing process to enhance resonance, radius ferrules are enhanced for improved acoustic properties throughout the instrument and the bell and lead pipe design are also new – the bell being yellow brass, hand hammered and flat rim.

Mount Vernon Styling.
The signature Artisan “Mount Vernon” styling of the instrument incorporates a two-piece nickel/brass valve casing construction, 1st slide split ring, unique serial number sequence, and deluxe engraving. The outfit is finished off with a fabulous case – combining a sumptuous traditional exterior with a superb new interior design incorporating soft micro-fibre material and high density foam.
The Artisan trumpet line was designed and tested in conjunction with long-time Bach artists Michael Sachs, principal trumpet, The Cleveland Orchestra, and Phil Smith, principal trumpet, New York Philharmonic Orchestra. 

Conclusion
The Artisan Eb/D combines classic Vincent Bach styling with contemporary materials, and exceptional design. 
A combination of great tuning and projection, the “playability” of a Schilke, and a Bach bell make this instrument a superb proposition. At last an Eb/D for Bach to be proud of!
