sonata-euphoniumDo you want to rent a musical instrument?

We often get queries here at Normans about renting instruments rather than buying them. This can be a great way to ‘try’ different instruments.

Playing a musical instrument can be an expensive investment, particularly if a child decides they want to play… but gives up a month later. The Normans rental scheme gives children the opportunity to learn, without making a large financial commitment!

What is the rental package?

With a rental package, a child can try a musical instrument without parents making a large, upfront financial commitment. The rental packages contain everything that a young beginner would need to get started but with flexibility in case they give up.

How does it work?

Payments are made monthly by direct debit and after 24 payments the instrument is yours to keep. To register for the scheme, simply log on to the Normans rental website and complete the online form provided. You will be taken through the process and be asked to print out the rental agreement, which you will need to sign and send back to us. Once we have received this, we will send the instrument package out to you.

If your child decides that they no longer want to play the instrument, after 3 payments have been made it can be returned to us at any time with no further commitments. After 24 months, you do not have to pay any more and you can keep the instrument!

How much does it cost?

Prices start from £12 per month, this is dependent on the instrument chosen and prices may change.

What else does the package include?

With the rental packages, you will receive everything that you need to get up and running, this includes:

  • Hire of your instrument
  • Instrument case and relevant care accessories
  • Music stand
  • Maintenance agreement
  • Free delivery of your instrument

You can find more information on the rental packages that Normans have to offer on the Normans Rental website.

    Hej

I will be coming to Uk from Denmark to visit a friend in Stoke
The price of taking my soprano saxophone with me on the airplane is prohibitive .

As I have transport it would be possible to collect a saxophone from Burton(an alto would suffice if you have no sopranos)

    Would this be possible?
If not, have you any other suggestions?

    regards John Hall

      Hi John,

Thanks for leaving a comment. We only offer the entry-level alto saxophones as part of our rental scheme. If this is suitable, you are certainly welcome to rent an instrument from us, however, it can only be returned after 3 months into your contract. You can find out more information in the link below or contact our sales team on sales@normans.co.uk who will be happy to help:

      I hope this helps.

      Best wishes,

      Diana

Hello, do you rent trombones? My friend is visiting from the USA and would like to rent a trombone for three weeks. Thank you.
