The YCLCX Custom is beautifully hand-crafted from carefully selected grenadilla wood. This Clarinet features perfectly balanced, silver-plated keys that create a light and even touch allowing you to play freely. As a result of this the intonation and tone is extremely accurate and well-rounded throughout the full range. Custom Series Clarinets are perfect for advanced students and professional performers. In contrast to the Yamaha SE Series Clarinets is the CS Series. The latter has a shorter and narrower inner bore taper and a longer straight section. This helps deliver a concentrated and clear, straight tone. Yamaha Clarinets are split into custom and student ranges. The main difference between the two is the time and craftsmanship taken during manufacturing. The Tone holes of the Custom range are more complex in terms of shape. Furthermore, the Silver plated keys are also precisely filed separately to improve the touch, playability and the appearance of the instrument. This creates a better sound quality and resonance.
