The maintenance and upkeep of your Violin is just as important than your practice. A Ferrari without oil results in poor (if any?) performance! A Stradivarius without strings is simply a piece of wood!!

Strings

Strings are the most common accessory, and a necessity. You should carry spares with you at all times; they do break you know…

The Forenza Violin String Sets are constructed from a steel core that is durable & not affected by changes in humidity & temperature. They produce a warm sound and provide a good, and consistent bow response. Available in 3 suitable sizes; full size to 3/4 size, 1/2 to 1/4 size, and 1/8th size. Each is a complete set containing the G, D, A, & E strings.  Remember, don’t wait until a string breaks, always carry a spare set!

violin rosinRosin

A much needed, yet inexpensive accessory, Forenza Violin Rosin will give your bow the correct level of adhesiveness to ensure accurate articulation and response. The rectangular design allows for easy application and provides the perfect friction between the bow and string.

Top-Tip; always sand/rub down a little of any new rosin blocks to help adhesion, plus don’t press too hard and rip the hairs from your bow.

shoulder-restShoulder Rest

Obviously shoulder rests make your whole performance and practice technique a more comfortable activity…and lessen the signs of a visible double-chin(s)!

The Forenza Shoulder Rest is our highly recommended model, due to its ergo dynamic design and comfortable padded area.

Available in ¾ and full size, the durable rubber connecting clips protect the violin and make them height & width adjustable. Comfort and Joy!

violin-caseCases

Obviously, your beloved Violin came with a case. Sometimes the case can become damaged and you require a suitable replacement. We can guarantee to provide you with an affordable and high quality Forenza case for your violin. We stock two models of Forenza cases; the Forenza Prima 2 Style,  professional Forenza Square Case.

The Prima 2 style cases are an excellent replacement case. Lightweight with a lined and shaped plush interior to protect your instrument from scuffs and scratches. They have a pocket compartment for your rosin and accessories while a carrying strap and handle make it perfect for easy transportation!  Available for all sizes of Violin from ¼ size to full size.

The premium designed Forenza Square Cases (which are actually oblong!) provide excellent protection for precious instruments. With a firm shaped interior lined with plush velour and a sturdy squared exterior they are a luxury, yet affordable substitute for the very best Violins. There are 3 separate internal compartments for accessories and an external pocket for music. Inside there is space for 2 bows. Carry with either the handle or shoulder strap. Available only in full size.

Tail Piece & Mute

As you can probably guess, we can cater for all your demands when it comes to accessories.  It’s amazing how many pieces of a Violin can (and do!) get surprisingly lost or broken?

If a violin is dropped the body and fingerboard survive, to the detriment of the bridge and tailpiece.  Here at Normans Musical Instruments we stock replacement Forenza Tailpieces with fine tuning adjusters and tail guts.

violin muteFinally, mutes. The Forenza Violin Mute is a Tourte type violin mute. Popular with all players as the mute fastens to A & D strings behind the bridge when not in use but can be very quickly slid up onto the bridge to achieve good muted tone.

So, if you are fortunate enough to play a wonderful Violin (provided by Normans Musical Instruments naturally), please let us keep your instrument in perfect working condition with our vast range of Forenza accessories.

And, if you are unfortunate enough to have a ‘little accident’ with your Violin, don’t panic!
