Tom & Will Djembe Method Book and CD

Djembe Method Book and CD by Tom & Will

We think:

The Djembe methods book is ideal for beginners of the Djembe. Compromising of a book and CD, it will guide you to learning all of the tricks whilst picking a lot of tips on how to play the Djembe.

There are three basic tones or sounds which can be achieved using a djembe, these are; Tone, slap and bass. Various other tones or beats can be produced using these three methods as a combination but these are the main djembe playing techniques. The bass technique resonates the lowest of the three tones and is produced by hitting the centre of the drum. The slap motion produces the loudest tone and is created by slapping the outer edges of the djembe head with the centre of the hand. The tone technique gives off the softest yet fullest sound and is achieved by using the fingers which are relaxed and held together and hitting the side of the drum.

This djembe methods book will teach you all of this and more so you can be playing all of the djembe combinations within no time!
