The sensation of playing a grand is unparalleled, it reacts to your touch and the sound is amplified in a way which is only achievable with an acoustic piano. However, while the beauty of playing an acoustic piano is hard to mimic, many piano manufacturers have attempted to mirror the enjoyment which can be found in playing a grand; but only one has come close, and that’s Yamaha.

Yamaha CLP675 Clavinova Piano Package with Bench and Headphones- Rosewood

The sensation of playing a grand is unparalleled, it reacts to your touch and the sound is amplified in a way which is only achievable with an acoustic piano. However, while the beauty of playing an acoustic piano is hard to mimic, many piano manufacturers have attempted to mirror the enjoyment which can be found in playing a grand; but only one has come close, and that’s Yamaha.

The collection of digital Clavinova pianos has become renowned for their quality of sound and their ability to replicate the playing experience of a grand piano.

This piano is available in a package, so you have everything you need to start playing straight away! It includes a sturdy wooden piano stool and a pair of stereo headphones!

This is What Our Expert At Normans Had To Say

Jack thinks:‘The CLP 675 is one of the best Clavinova models that Yamaha have made yet. It incorporates features from both acoustic and digital models, and combines them into the one piano. One of the big improvements in this instrument is the wooden keys, which are designed to give you a pure grand piano feel. As well as the keyboard being housed in a stunning rosewood cabinet, you get the 3 piano style pedals, so you have all the functions you need to play. I think that Yamaha are showing how digital pianos can help people transition over from acoustic instruments. Due to their experience in manufacturing grand pianos, they can use that as an advantage to help make digital models the best they can be.’

The beauty of the Rosewood CLP 675 Yamaha Clavinova is in the detail, and believe us, Yamaha have thought of everything. To learn what features have been incorporated into the Rosewood CLP 675 Yamaha Clavinova.

A Grand Sample

Yamaha have been very selective in choosing the two grand pianos from which they decided to record the voice samples for the beautiful CLP 675 Yamaha Clavinova. The two grand pianos which they decided upon were Yamaha’s very own CFX and the esteemed Bösendorfer Imperial; both of which are recognised across the world for their powerful voice, which is characterful in both its delivery of sound and in its tonal range.

Samples were recorded and tuned by a master piano technician, this was done for each of the 88 individual notes which you will find on the Rosewood CLP 675 Yamaha Clavinova. Keen to maintain the authentic tone of the two grand’s, Yamaha have also included key-off samples. Key-off samples refers to the slight tonal change which occurs when the damper pedal is depressed in order to mute the sound. It is a small change, but one that coupled with numerous other details, maintains the authentic sound quality of the CFX and the Bösendorfer.

36 Digital Voices to Choose From

In addition to the authentic sound of the CFX and the Bösendorfer, which are recreated when your fingers press against the synthetic ivory keys of the Rosewood CLP 675 Yamaha Clavinova, you will also have the exciting option to choose from any one of the 36 different digital voices which are made available on the CLP 675 Clavinova.

This includes digital piano voices, organs and strings – so the ability to be creative and have a little fun while rehearsing is made easier than ever.

Choose Between Multiple Tones and Styles

Whilst recording the CFX and the Bösendorfer Imperial, Yamaha recorded multiple samples of varying length and strength to combine with their Smooth Release Technology. This allows users to play any number of styles and swap between staccato and legato with ease. This level of detail enables the Rosewood CLP 575 Yamaha Clavinova to give beginners the chance to improve their skills whilst keeping up with experts pushing their limits.

Alternate Between Tones & Musical Styles

When recording the Yamaha CFX and the Bösendorfer Imperial, Yamaha decided to take long samples for each of the 88 different keys. This, coupled with their innovative Smooth Release Technology allows you to switch between tones and musical styles without any ‘malfunctions’. This is great for those who are more advanced and want the ability to play a number of different styles without it affecting the overall sound quality of the passage.

Beautiful Reverberation; Just Like a Grand

Keen to recreate the beautiful playing experience of a grand, Yamaha have incorporated Virtual Resonance Modelling (VRM) into the design of the CLP 675. This is not available in the CLP 635 or the CLP 625 and in the words of Yamaha themselves produces “a rich reverberation that envelops the listener in sound”.

Linear Graded Hammer Action Across All 88 Keys

In their endeavour to create a truly authentic playing experience for you, Yamaha have incorporated a 88-key linear graded hammer action which mimics the hammer mechanism found in a grand piano (without the strings) – this allows the keyboard on the Rosewood CLP 575 Yamaha Clavinova to react to your touch; creating some resistance to the pressure which you apply to the keys. It also means that the keysspring firmly back into place quickly after you’ve released the key.

Authentic Pedals

Much like the pedals which you would discover on a grand piano, the pedals which are on the Rosewood CLP 675 Yamaha Clavinova, respond to your touch. In particular, the GP Response Damper Pedal starts out light to your touch and as you depress the pedal deeper becomes heavier. This mirrors the mechanism of a grand piano pedal.

Every Note is Heard

For a performance to be truly accurate you need an instrument which is able to project every note. The Rosewood CLP 675 Yamaha Clavinova features Tone Escapement; the latest technology to be utilised by the team at Yamaha.

This effectively prevents any notes from being trapped within the glossy frame of the Rosewood CLP 675 Yamaha Clavinova. So you can rest assured that both you and your listeners will hear your performance exactly as it was meant.

Powerful Sound Amplification

To add power and amplification to the sound emitted from the Rosewood CLP 675 Yamaha Clavinova, Yamaha have incorporated two way speakers within the body of this amazing instrument. This has the effect of amplifying sound and enveloping the listeners in waves of sound, while the internal speakers also act to add reverberation to the sound which is emitted. The overall effect is absolutely stunning - and we can’t even play that well!

Controlled Sound for a Better Performance

To protect the quality of the sound, Yamaha have integrated an Acoustic Optimiser. This regulates the flow of sound and the tonal quality, to ensure that the sound which is expelled from the CLP 675 is the best it can possible be – time and time again.

It’s Like Playing in a Concert Hall

There are a number of cool, modern-day features which you’re sure to love. For instance, Yamaha have included a new Reverb System which mirrors the atmosphere of playing in a concert hall or cathedral. This is great for having a bit of fun, but also for helping you to adjust to the slight change in sound which might occur in similar venues.

USB Audio Recorder & Multi Track Song Recording

There are so many different and exciting features available on the CLP 675 that it can be hard to pinpoint the best ones. However, for those of you who like to record your performances and share them with your friends or family then these two features are sure to make your life that little bit easier.

The USB Audio Recorder enables you to record your performance straight to a USB flash memory; these can then be uploaded to a computer or portable audio device. The Multi-Track Song Recording allows you to record up to 16 tracks which you can then play back simultaneously.

Piano Lessons & Rhythms

If you want a digital piano which will help to develop your technical skills, then you’re in luck. The Rosewood CLP 675 Yamaha Clavinova has a large number of piano lessons which are designed to develop different techniques such as Hanon, Bayer and Czerny.

Plus, with a range of different rhythms to choose from you can have backing music to your performance.
