It is designed for players who want a resonator banjo built around a wooden pot, tuned to open G (G-D-G-B-D) and ready for practice, jamming or playing live.

Mahogany Wood Pot and Resonator

Unlike banjos with a metal pot, the BJW24 DL uses a plain mahogany wood pot paired with a mahogany resonator. The resonator encloses the back of the banjo and directs sound forwards, while an 11-inch REMO White Coated top head is held in place by 24 flat-type bracket hooks.

Neck and Playability

The nato set neck measures 660 mm and carries a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets. Pearloid clover-style inlays mark your positions along the neck. A nickel-plated brass armrest keeps your forearm clear of the head as you play.

Tuners and Hardware

Four open-gear machine heads sit on the headstock, with a high gear ratio 5th peg on the neck for finer tuning adjustments on the short drone string. All tuners have pearloid knobs. The maple and ebony bridge and nickel-plated brass tailpiece complete the hardware, and the banjo is finished in high gloss.

Who Is This 5-String Resonator Banjo Suitable For?

The BJW24 DL suits players who want a full-size 5-string banjo with a resonator and a wooden pot. Its 22-fret fingerboard gives you the full playing range, and the resonator helps the banjo project when playing alongside guitars, fiddles and other acoustic instruments.

Key Features

5-string banjo with mahogany resonator

Plain mahogany wood pot with 24 flat-type bracket hooks

11-inch REMO White Coated top head

Nato set neck with rosewood fingerboard and 22 frets

High gear ratio 5th peg on the neck for precise tuning

Pearloid clover-style inlays and pearloid tuner knobs

Nickel-plated brass armrest and tailpiece

Open G tuning (G-D-G-B-D) and high gloss finish

Specification

Model: Stagg BJW24 DL Deluxe Western

Strings: 5

Resonator: Mahogany

Pot: Mahogany plain wood

Bracket hooks: 24 (flat type)

Top head: 11-inch REMO White Coated

Bridge: Maple and ebony (5-string)

Tailpiece: Nickel-plated brass

Machine heads: 4 x open-gear on headstock plus high gear ratio 5th peg on neck, with pearloid knobs

Armrest: Nickel-plated brass

Neck: Nato set neck, 660 mm (26 in.)

Fingerboard: Rosewood, 22 frets

Position markers: Pearloid clover-style inlays

Tuning: G-D-G-B-D

Finish: High gloss
