At Normans we not only understand the need for a Speedy Delivery but also the importance of informing and reassuring our customers prior to placing an order. Our clear and simple Shipping Policy ensures you receive Premium Service at an Economy Price.
Shipping Charges
All orders with a total value of over £50.00 for delivery to a UK mainland address will qualify for FREE SHIPPING.
All prices relating to the shipping charge for an individual item are clearly listed on the individual product page under the Delivery & Returns tab. Where multiple items are ordered the charge is calculated based on the combined weight/volumetric weight of the items purchased. The total shipping charge is clearly stated at checkout prior to a request for payment.
Due to the complex nature of parcel delivery (particularly overseas) Normans reserves the right to amend the quoted shipping price in exceptional circumstances (for example large/heavy items, such as a Piano, to first floor apartments/final destinations at the extremities of a region). Please be assured that this is a very rare occurrence and we will always contact you prior to shipping in order to discuss the issue with you and agree a mutually acceptable cost/solution.
UK Delivery
We offer Free UK Mainland Shipping on all orders over £50 (inc vat). For orders under this value, the postage charge is £1.99. For shipping prices of individual items, please click the Delivery & Returns tab on the product listing.
We aim to ship all of our orders within 24 hours of receipt (excluding weekends). Orders placed on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday will be shipped the next working day.
A dispatch notification/invoice is sent via email on the day that your order has been shipped from our warehouse. The delivery method used is shown underneath the shipping address on this invoice.
Our
small items are sent via
Royal Mail48, which generally arrive within 2-3 working days and also may be delivered on a Saturday depending on the dispatch date, for more information on Royal Mail service please click

Medium sized items are sent via
Royal Mail Tracked48 which is a 48 hour delivery service. You will be emailed the tracking number by Royal Mail the morning after we have dispatched the goods from our warehouse. Please note that this is not a signed for service and some deliveries may be on a Saturday. For further information, please click

For
larger items, we use
DPD Next Day delivery.* On the morning of delivery they will send an SMS and email notifying you of the 1 hour delivery time slot. If you are not available then simply reply to the text or email to rearrange the delivery with them directly. If you miss the delivery they will leave a ‘calling card’ to arrange the delivery for another day. Alternatively, you can arrange to collect this from your local depot. Deliveries to Ireland and certain parts of Scotland are not available on the next day service and are dispatched on a 2 day delivery. Next Day does not include Weekends and Bank Holidays and relates to shipping date rather than order placement date.
Extra large items (for example Digital Pianos and Double Basses) are shipped via
Arrow XL. This specialist 2 man delivery service will pick up your goods from our warehouse and contact you to arrange a convenient date and time to deliver your goods. This is usually done 2-3 working days from placing your order. They will also call you half an hour prior to delivery to confirm that they are on their way. For more information, please click

Piano deliveries, due to their bespoke nature, are delivered by a specialist firm and our warehouse team will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient delivery date.
Please note: All of our large and extra large items are delivered between Monday and Friday. For an additional charge, it may be possible to send your goods on a Saturday delivery. Please contact our sales team for a quote.
BFPO
We are able to deliver to a BFPO address providing the order is placed by an organisation such as a school or a band. Private customers should use their residential barrack address. Items delivered through BFPO will be shipped via Defence Storage Distribution Agency in Bicester. Once with DSDA, delivery timescale is dependant on their deliver schedules. Normans cannot be held responsible for any delay. Please be aware that deliveries can take anything from a few days to several months to reach their final destination. We are unable to deliver to BFPO addresses other than through the DSDA channel
International Delivery

For
small items (dependant on their value) we use 1st Class Airmail which can take up to 7 days to arrive with you. We do not get a tracking number for items sent via Airmail.
Medium sized items are shipped by International Signed for service by Royal Mail. These do require a signature on delivery. They aim to deliver to all destinations within 7 days and a tracking number will be emailed to you by our Warehouse Team.
For
larger items we use different couriers’ dependant on your delivery destination. We will give the couriers your email address so that they can keep you up to date. Please allow up to 7 days for the delivery.
To ensure that we can keep you updated regarding the delivery please ensure you include a valid email and telephone number on your order.
If you are placing an order for delivery to Norway, please provide your PID number as we are unable to clear your goods through customs without it.
Please note that overseas customers are accountable for paying any local taxes or duties on importation of goods to their country.
Additional Note: We are currently unable to ship to Russia due to Russian import guidelines.
