The Montreux Student Curved Head Flute lets smaller children start the flute properly: the curved head joint brings the keys within comfortable reach, and a straight head joint is also included, so the same instrument converts to a full-size flute when the player grows. Both heads store in the lightweight case supplied.
Who is this flute for?
Younger or smaller beginners — typically children not yet tall enough to hold a straight flute with correct posture. With a standard flute, a small player has to twist their neck and overstretch their arms; the curved head solves this completely, letting technique develop correctly from the first lesson. Because the straight head is included, there is nothing new to buy at the switchover. Schools teaching whole-class flute also use this model so no child is excluded by reach.
