Normans at Music & Drama Education Expo
Last weekend marked an exciting time for Normans, as it was time for Europe’s biggest music exhibition - the Music & Drama Education Expo. It showcases all things performing arts, including a huge array of musical instruments and the latest technologies. With world known exhibitors and interactive workshops, this was the ultimate exhibition for all music lovers, so why not reflect on a few of our highlights?

Popular items

This year we particularly found percussion to be something that teachers we asking about, from small, handheld items to larger, Samba drums. It was great to show our range of kid’s percussion instruments to the teachers and get such positive feedback. Click here to see our range of classic percussion instruments like tambourines, triangles and woodblocks, as well as many more school favourites like glockenspiels, xylophones, castanets and more.

A huge success

If you popped over to stand D10 at any point throughout the expo, you would have noticed our huge selection of beginner and student instruments on display, such as pBone & pTrumpets. As you can see by the pictures below, we certainly went to town with our displays and it definitely paid off, as we are proud to announce that we won “Best Large Stand”. Well done to all of the guys for their work. If you’d like any information on the instruments that we showed on our stand, please contact us.

To give something back to our loyal customers, we decided to give schools a chance to win a £250 Normans voucher to provide children with top quality musical instruments. To be in with a chance all you had to do was fill out a simple questionnaire - sounds like a no brainer to me!

A word from our Education Manager, Jack:

“We had a fantastic time at the Music Education Expo last week and it was great to see so many familiar faces as well as meeting new ones. We got a good understanding of how Music Education is moving forward, alongside what Educators are looking for from retailers in terms of service and products.”
