The 3rd Avenue Junior Electric Guitar Pack is a complete first electric guitar for children aged around 5–8: a 1/4 size electric guitar in seven fun finishes, a battery-powered mini amplifier and the accessories to start straight away — gig bag, strap, cable and picks.

Who is this guitar pack for?

This is the smallest electric guitar in the 3rd Avenue range, sized for ages 5–8 — young starters who would struggle with even a 3/4 size neck. The double-cutaway body looks like a real rock guitar at child scale, which keeps young players excited to practise. The battery-powered amp works anywhere, with no mains socket needed. What age is a junior electric guitar for?

This 1/4 size guitar suits children aged around 5–8. At this age a full-size or even 3/4 guitar is too long in the neck for small hands — the junior size keeps chords and single notes within easy reach.

Can a 5-year-old really learn on an electric guitar?

Does the amplifier need a mains socket?

No — the mini amp runs on a 9V battery (not included), so it works in any room, in the garden or at a grandparent's house. It has volume and tone controls plus a clean/overdrive switch for a first taste of rock sounds.

What size guitar comes next?

Most children move up to a 3/4 size electric at around age 8, depending on height and reach. The 3/4 size pack with amp is the natural next step in the same range.
