The 3rd Avenue RT100 is a chromatic clip-on tuner for guitar, bass, violin, mandolin and ukulele. It clips onto your instrument, picks up the note as you play and shows on a backlit LCD screen whether you are flat, sharp or in tune, with ±1 cent accuracy.

Tuning Modes for Guitar, Bass, Violin and Ukulele

Six tuning modes cover Chromatic, Guitar, Bass, Violin, Ukulele C and Ukulele D. Ukulele C is standard G C E A tuning, while Ukulele D tunes a whole tone higher to A D F# B. The tuner is calibrated to A4 = 440 Hz and covers a range of A0 (27.5 Hz) to C8 (4186.01 Hz), so you can use Chromatic mode to tune a mandolin or any note within that range.

Backlit LCD Display

The screen shows the note name alongside a needle-style indicator. If the indicator points left the note is flat and if it points right the note is sharp. The screen lights when you are off pitch and turns green when the indicator sits in the centre and the note is in tune. The display sits on an adjustable axis, so you can angle it for the clearest view.

Simple One-Button Operation

A single function button controls the tuner. Press and hold it for two seconds to switch on or off, and press it briefly to move through the tuning modes. The tuner switches off automatically after three minutes without use to save battery, and a CR2032 battery is included.

What battery does the 3rd Avenue RT100 tuner use?

The RT100 uses one CR2032 coin cell battery, which is included. To replace it, press the front of the battery cover on the back of the tuner, slide it back to remove it and insert the new battery with the negative side facing inwards. The tuner switches off automatically after three minutes without use to save battery.

Can you tune a ukulele with the RT100?

Yes. The RT100 has two ukulele modes. Ukulele C is for standard G C E A tuning and Ukulele D is for tuning a whole tone higher to A D F# B.
