The Stagg ECL 4/4 BK is a full-size (4/4) electric cello in black, with a solid maple top, built-in electronics and a gigbag and bow included. It is designed for cellists who want an instrument they can plug into an amplifier, play along with recorded music or practise on through headphones.

Solid Maple Top and Maple Fittings

The cello has a solid maple top with a maple fingerboard and a maple bridge. A black plastic nut and black diecast machine heads complete the hardware, matching the black finish.

Electric Cello Electronics

An under-saddle transducer picks up the sound of the strings and feeds it to an onboard equaliser with volume and bass controls. A low battery indicator lets you know when the power is running low, so you are not caught out mid-practice.

Inputs and Outputs

A 6.35 mm (1/4") output jack connects the cello to an amplifier or PA system. A 3.5 mm (1/8") headphone output lets you practise more quietly, and a 3.5 mm (1/8") stereo mini jack input lets you connect a CD or MP3 player and play along with backing tracks.

Who Is This Electric Cello Suitable For?

The ECL 4/4 suits players who need a full-size cello for practice at home, rehearsals or amplified performances. The headphone output and play-along input make it practical for regular practice, and the included gigbag and bow mean you have what you need to start playing.

Yes. The cello has a 3.5 mm (1/8") headphone output, so you can listen through headphones instead of an amplifier. This makes it practical for practising more quietly at home.

Can the Stagg ECL 4/4 be connected to an amplifier?

Yes. It has a 6.35 mm (1/4") output jack for connecting to an amplifier or PA system. The onboard equaliser lets you adjust the volume and bass before the signal reaches your amp.

Can you play along with music on the Stagg ECL 4/4?

Yes. A 3.5 mm (1/8") stereo mini jack input lets you connect a CD or MP3 player. You can then play along with backing tracks and hear both through your headphones.
