Re-developed from the ever popular YDP163, the Arius series has improved the touch, sound and connectivity for the Yamaha YDP164. Awaiting you at the touch of a button is an authentic, expressive piano experience which perfectly replicates the response of an acoustic piano.

Newly sampled for the YDP164 is the 9' CFX concert grand piano, which offers a powerful resonant bass and beautiful high tones, able to project itself to the furthest reaches of any concert hall. The 88-note piano action features synthetic ivory and ebony keys and the Graded Hammer 3 (GH3) keyboard, reproduces the touch of an acoustic instrument. From the heavy feel in the lower register, to a lighter touch in the higher ranges.

Accurately sensing the keyboard action, a three-sensor configuration provides a grand piano response and feel. This perfectly recreates rapid note repetition and accurate expressions, to give you maximum control over your music. Brand new with the YDP164 is also compatibility with the Yamaha mobile application, 'Smart Pianist'. With this, you can add a variety of incredible features to enhance your music even further.
